aircraft accidents, hours vs accidents

If that topic interests you, I warmly recommend the book "The Killing Zone: How and Why Pilots Die".I must warn you that the methods used in the book don't strike me as statistically valid, e.g. in analyzing hours vs accidents, the author doesn't take the size of the population into account (i.e. how many pilots have that experience level), so he makes an implicit assumption they're uniformly spread.
