Ice cream sign in front of old Volvo in Stockholm Drive up Cambridge Street almost all the way to Harvard Yard and the underpass. Take the last right turn before the traffic signal onto Sumner Road. Take the first right onto Irving Terrace. My house is a big grey shingled affair two-thirds of the way down on the left. The driveway is to the right of the house. My parking space is the one closest to the street.

Acura NSX-T Drive up Broadway about 1.5 miles toward Harvard Square. Turn right on Prescott Street or wait until Quincy where you are forced right. Go right onto Cambridge Street, away from Harvard Square. Take an immediate left onto Sumner Road. Take the first right onto Irving Terrace. My house is two-thirds of the way down on the left. The driveway is to the right of the house. My parking space is the one closest to the street.

From Mass Pike

Old Volvo.  Sodermalm.  Stockholm, Sweden Get off at the Cambridge exit (first exit after Newton). Go across the Charles River and go left onto Memorial Drive. Take a right at the third light onto JFK Street. Go straight through four traffic lights (and Harvard Square) then bear right under the Harvard Yard underpass. Bear left and then straight onto Cambridge Street. Take the first left after the light onto Sumner Road. Take the first right onto Irving Terrace. My house is two-thirds of the way down on the left. The driveway is to the right of the house. My parking space is the one closest to the street.

From Lincoln/Concord/Hanscom (Northwest suburbs)

Exit 128 on Route 2 East. Turn right at the first traffic light onto the Fresh Pond Parkway. Go 270 degrees through the first rotary at Fresh Pond and straight through (180) the second rotary onto Concord Avenue. Follow Concord Avenue to the end, then bear right onto Garden Street into Harvard Square. Go straight through two traffic lights and then bear right under the Harvard Yard underpass. Bear left and then straight onto Cambridge Street. Take the first left after the light onto Sumner Road. Take the first right onto Irving Terrace. My house is two-thirds of the way down on the left. The driveway is to the right of the house. My parking space is the one closest to the street.

If You Don't Like to Drive... (the T)

Burning car.  New Jersey 1995. Take the Red Line to the Harvard Square stop. Walk through Harvard Yard all the way out the other side to the Science Center (concrete building shaped like an old Polaroid camera). Bear right alongside a huge brick Memorial Hall and out onto Cambridge Street. Cross Cambridge St. (big ugly concrete building, Gund Hall, is on your left). One block straight and then left onto Sumner Road. Go half a block and then right onto Irving Terrace. My house (#5) is two-thirds of the way down on the left.

If we are going flying
