Objective
This lesson is the stage one check. The chief flight instructor,
assistant chief instructor, or a appropriately-qualified designee
instructor, will conduct the lesson. The student will be tested on the
progress of their ability to conduct the in-flight
demonstration/performance method while simultaneously explaining the
maneuvers. The student will perform the maneuvers within commercial
standards.

- Autorotation with a power recovery (straight-in)
- Autorotation with a power recovery (180 degrees)
- Forced landing
- Hovering autorotation
- Tail rotor failures
- Recovery from settling with power
- Low RPM recovery
- Hydraulics failure (if applicable)
Schedule
Completion Standards
The student shall demonstrate from flight and oral testing that
they meet the acceptable performance standards when performing
commercial maneuvers from the FAA PTS. THe student must also
demonstrate verbal knowledge of all stage one maneuvers.
