Objective
This lesson reviews en-route and approach procedures from an
instructional perspective. It also reviews IFR departure and arrival
procedures along with filing an IFR flight plan from an instructional
perspective. The instructor will simulate a student and the CFII-H
candidate simulate teaching a departure on a DP or simulated IFR
departure, and a short cross-country IFR flight.

Schedule
Completion Standards
The CFII-H candidate should demonstrate IFR flight planning and an
IFR cross-country flight from an instructional perspective. The
candidate should also explain departure, en-route and arrival
procedures while flying. The candidate should demonstrate copying and
reading back the ATC clearance from an instructional perspective
during the departure and en-route phases.
