2.0 Hour Dual; Pre/Post Flight Discussion 0.75 Hours

The student will review VFR cross-country skills including demonstration of simulated emergency procedures. The flight will include a straight line distance of more than 50 nautical miles from the original departure point, in day VFR conditions.



Completion Standards

At the completion of this lesson, the student will demonstrate the ability to act as pilot-in-command on a cross country flight of at least two hours to an airport at least 50NM away from the original point of departure. The student will prepared to conduct a similar trip solo in the future.

Any deviations from the completion standards should be noted in previous section. After completing a maneuver listed under Introduction, place a check mark next to that maneuver. Assign grades of Above Standard, Meets Standard, or Below Standard to maneuvers listed under Review.
