Objective
The instructor will review appropriate maneuvers and procedures to confirm the student's readiness for his/her second supervised solo flight. Student willconduct his/her second supervised solo flight following favorable review by the instructor.

Second Supervised Solo Flight
- Vertical takeoff to a hover
- Hovering: stationary, sideward, forward, backward, and pedal turns
- Vertical landing from a hover
- Normal takeoffs, traffic patterns, and normal approaches
Schedule
- 0-30 minutes: Drive to helicopter hangar and preflight inspection
- 30-40: Startup
- 40-60: Review with instructor
- 60-85: Second solo flight
- 85-90: Shutdown
- 90-110: Put helicopter away
- 110-125: Discussion

Completion Standards
The student will demonstrate the ability to safely pilot the helicopter in solo flight while adhering to established traffic pattern procedures. He/she will demonstrate effective radio communication skills, safe hovering skills, proper attitude and airspeed control during the takeoff and climb, and proper rate of closure and ground track during the approach.The student will will conduct his/her second supervised solo flight.
