Objective
The student will plan and execute his/her first solo cross-country flight to a destination chosen by the instructor. The instructor will choose a relatively simple course/destination familar to the student.

Schedule
- -30-0 minutes: Student plans cross-country trip
- 0-30: Drive to helicopter hangar, preflight inspection, and instructor review of cross-country planning
- 30-40: Startup
- 40-115: Student navigates to destination chosen by instructor
- 115-120: Shutdown
- 120-140: Put helicopter away
- 140-155: Discussion

Completion Standards
The student will plan the the cross-country flight, and the instructor will review the plan for accuracy and make the appropriate logbook endorsements. The student will perform the planned cross-country flight and the instructor will determine how well the flight was conducted by oral examination and will check to be sure all required flight log entries have been made.
