approaches. Introduction to the capability of helicopters to land in
confined areas.
Elements
- vertical takeoff to a hover
- hover taxi
- air taxi
- landing from a hover
- maximum performance take off
- steep approaches
- steep turns (30-degree bank)
Schedule

steep turns along the way
- 70-80: instructor demonstrates steep approach to confined area and
maximum performance takeoff
