GENERAL INTRODUCTION
GENERAL INFORMATIONWelcome to the SoftKey Forum! We have seven parts:
The INSTRUCTIONS are a complete guide to the Forum software
and are identical on all forums. This software is capable of
much more than the menus offer. For advanced users, capturing
the INSTRUCTIONS and experimenting with COMMAND mode (set
under OPTIONS) is recommended.
The MESSAGES Section is disabled at this time. Due to the number
of products that Softkey supports, we are currently evaluating the best
means of providing that support online to Softkey customers. You may
send questions directly to the sysops at 76702,410.
The LIBRARIES are vehicles for the exchange and distribution
of files, such as software, documentation, or anything of
lasting value. The Libraries Announcement contains a list and
description of available libraries; descriptions are also
available by entering DES at the Library menu.
The CONFERENCE Section is a meeting place for realtime on-line
discussions with other members. The Conference Bulletin
contains basic information on it use feature and notices of
any upcoming formal conferences.
The NOTICES provide important details on Forum opera
tion. The General Announcement, which you are reading,
describes its structure. The Membership Announcement describes
the Forum's purpose, scope, and general rules; please take
some time to read it. The Sysops Announcement lists current
Sysops. News Flash contains items of timely interest; it will
automatically display on entering the Forum, but once read,
will not display again until changed, except from the
Announcements menu.
The MEMBERSHIP DIRECTORY lists some Forum members and can be
SEARCHED for the names of others based on their interests.
Feel free to add your name and topics that interest you.
The FORUM OPTIONS Section allows you to control aspects of the
Forum's operation: the sections you read; prompts displayed
after a message; and the name you use. If you joined under a
"handle" or assumed name, please change it to the form of your
first name you like to be called and your last name. "Tom"
instead of "Thomas" is okay, but not "Flasher" or "Network
Hacker."
