For all the complaints on this page, there is a sollution within StoryServer. * Complaints about paying too much for development time I can't help you on. Other than your using the wrong developers. * If you can't afford vignette, your site isn't big enough for it anyway. Either that or you haven't figured out how to make your large site make money. In which case you have business issues to deal with before technology issues. * All the problems with escaping quotes isn't necessary, use the tcl subst command. * If you need to do rollbacks, why not execute a stored procedure that takes in the data and then you can do your begin and end transactions in there. * With the addition of tclCOM and tclBLEND, I don't think there is ANYTHING StoryServer can not do. * As for database support. If your not using Oracle/Sybase/SQLServer/DB2 your screwed. I can't imagine spending money on a product like StoryServer, when your not willing to back it up with a decent database.
