I too have obsessed over the perfect kitchen for both function and atmosphere; however, I am one step ahead of you in my choice of pans. A few years ago, I purchased several Calphalon pans because I wanted the best and was told that they were, in fact, the best. I liked them fine but was not overly impressed.
