I cannot agree more with the previous posting. I worked for a high-profile silicon valley start-up, started by a proven entrepreneur. But, a few months after the company started, the VC introducted his HBS friend, who was a Mckinsey Partner to join the company. This guy hired his own boys, and had no idea how to run a tech company. Consultant (especially "strategic consultant", had no operational experience or technical experience). Please try to avoid these people as much as you can. They'll ruin a company.
