We own a Sienna 2004 (about 42000 miles as of today). Since purchasing this mini van we have had numerous plastic pieces fall off all over the van. One of the middle row seat belts kept locking up. It was finally recalled in 2005 after nearly 2 years of trying to get it repaired.
The big issue that I am looking for others with the same complaint is the acceleration and deceleration of the vehicle. When the gas pedal is pressed very often the van fails to accelerate. Often when it does finally engage, the van surges forward rapidly enough to whip the passengers around. On the other end of thisı when the brakes are applied there are times when the van accelerates. Up until today continuing to press the brakes has helped to actually cause the van to begin the breaking process. Today; however, the surging forward while the break was being pressed caused the van to accelerate forward fast enough that it caused an accident.
