There are other non-profit ideas that you failed to mention. How about the environment? What about electronics? We recently founded a 501c3 non-profit called Recycling for Charities that allows consumers the ability to recycle their old cell phone, digital camera, iPod or ink and toner cartridges while benefiting charities across America and taking the tax write off. We take these items and find the best recycling alternative for them. It be complete smelt or an overseas vendor refurbishing the item to be reused. Vendors buy these items from us and we then take a portion of the proceeds (currently 85%) and make a donation in the doner's name to the charity of their choice.
