Software Documentation (DOC) produces end-user guides, other internal and external documentation in paper form and on the Internet. DOC is responsible for the main company website (.com), the Intranet (.org) and any other publication of the company. DOC owns the style guides and publication guidelines. DOC needs the following tools:
MS Word for manuals and end-user guides
MS Publisher for marketing publications
MS FrontPage for Internet publications
Picture Editing software
Robohelp for the development of interactive training session
The importance of good software documentation is widely underestimated. Good documentation minimizes customer service calls and improves customer satisfaction. Publications are owned by DOC and neither the style nor the content may be contestet after the editing process.
