For helicopters - how many hours do you think you would need to amass before a majority of further hours are then likely to be paid for by someone else?

Offsetting lower cost against (what I assume would be) the preference for higher R44 time - what might be a logical split between R22 & R44 time?

Answers

The magic number is 300 because that is what Pathfinder requires of an instructor in an R22 (and R44 time is of no help there). You might get away with 200 or so if you had all R44 time and found a sightseeing operator.
