Often while I am hiking I wish that I had more information about what I was looking at. Is that a manmade lake? What was that black and white monster bird we saw? Is there some jerk behind me taking a photo?
A smartphone can answer some of those questions. Usually it means I am enjoying my hike *more* than I used to before the smartphone.
