Mount Desert Island and Bar Harbor Aerials

Bass Harbor to Southwest Harbor:

Northeast Harbor, a not-intolerable place to suffer through a summer 2020 COVID quarantine:

From Northeast Harbor to the core of Acadia National Park and the Park Loop Road:

Late afternoon light on Bar Harbor, Maine itself and then to the airport and Columbia for an overnight stop.

From our Boston to Bar Harbor, Maine trip in a Robinson R44 helicopter. Tony Cammarata was in back with a door removed and a Nikon D850. Instrument student Vince Dorow and I were flying.

  1. Some incredible ‘homes’ wow. Also seems the coastline is a lot more rugged than previous locations.

    • If you want to see real homes and not these pitiful McMansions search for recent Navalni video on Putin’s $1.3 + billion palace estate on youtube. Main structure is around 200,000 sq ft, there is 5 floors high underground hockey arena and 2 wineries among other staff, all placed on several square miles of see-front land that exceeds total area of neighboring famous resort town with local population of 80,000.

  2. The pictures in this series are great. I notice they’re full-sized in the post body though. Have you considered creating thumbnails so they load faster?

    • That’s a bug in the WordPress software maybe. Perhaps because they’re bigger than what WordPress is accustomed to? My old software from 1993 did this right!
