The Swedes should also have a lower rate going forward because they didn&#8217;t have a 15 months of lockdowns in which people were unable to exercise and maintain mental health. And they didn&#8217;t lose as much economically, which means they&#8217;ll have better public health going forward (since they won&#8217;t have impoverished themselves the way that other European nations did):<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><a href=\"https:\/\/philip.greenspun.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/image-24.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/philip.greenspun.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/image-24.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-32539\" width=\"553\" height=\"307\" srcset=\"https:\/\/philip.greenspun.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/image-24.png 997w, https:\/\/philip.greenspun.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/image-24-300x166.png 300w, https:\/\/philip.greenspun.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/image-24-768x426.png 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 553px) 100vw, 553px\" \/><\/a><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">None of this will convince Church of Shutdown members, of course, but I thought readers might be interested to see these data from <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/The_Spectator\">a 200-year-old current affairs magazine.<\/a> And maybe it is time to buy Swedish stocks!
