3. What drives your life?
Nothing matters more than knowing God's purposes for your life, and nothing can compensate for not knowing them.
You were not put on earth to be remembered. You were put here to prepare for eternity.
Everyone's life is driven by something:
- Guilt
People spend their lives running from regrets or hiding from shame. They allow their past to control their future. -
Resentment and anger
People hold on to hurts or never get over some of them. Some clam-up and internalize their anger, Some blow up and explode it onto others. -
Fear
People often miss great opportunities because theyre afraid to venture out. They play it safe and avoid risks. -
Materialism
Possessions only provide temporary happiness. More money doesn't make security. Self-worth and net-worth are not same thing. The most valuable wealth are things that we can take into eternity.
Benefits to living a purpose-driven life:
- Gives meaning
- Simplifies your life
- Focuses your life
- Motivates you
- and prepares you for eternity.
