Usenet Or Internet Based Newsgroups I
Newsgroups are text based Internet discussion and file sharing media. Multimedia newsgroups are growing in number. In newsgroups a person can post a message and attach files to the message. If of common interest, the message will create a discussion thread to propagate the discussion further. These can be broken down in two main hierarchies:
- Basic hierarchy such as alt.windows9x etc.

Advanced hierarchy such as Comp or MS.Windows9x etc.
alt groups are for beginners, whereas all others are for advanced users. Fun groups such as under hierarchy like rec.. also exist.
