Travelling as we were with a mountain bike and a dog, arrival in Canada was a huge relief. National parks here encourage mountain biking on many trails and leashed dogs are welcome on nearly all trails. A much larger percentage of hotels in Canada accept pets than in the US. Canada is simply a more pleasant country than the US, at least until the winter frosts set in...
