Prerequisites
- Ground Lesson 5: emergency procedures and flight maneuvers
Objective
This lesson introduces simulated helicopter emergencies from the
Robinson POH. The student will be tasked with recognizing correct
procedures for listed emergencies while in a flight enviornment. The
student will also review precision autorotations and areas of weakness
from previous lessons.

- Indications of engine trouble
- Generator/alternator failure
- Fires
- Fire on startup
- Engine fire at altitude
- Electrical fire at altitude, smoke in cockpit
- Tachometer failure

- Warning lghts
- Tail rotor malfunctions
- Tail rotor failures and LTE
- Stuck pedals
- Air restart

Completion Standards
At the completion of this lesson, the student shall exhibit a
prompt and proper response to each of the simulated emergencies during
flight.
