Objective
This lesson introduces night cross-country flying operations,
special night precautions, and emergency procedures appropriate to
night operations. The cross-country will be at least two hours and
have a straight-line distance of more than 50nm between departure and
destination.

Completion Standards
The student will demonstrate the ability to act as pilot-in-command
on a night cross country flight to an airport at least 50NM away from
the original point of departure. The student will demonstrate
knowledge of the precautions and procedures appropriate to flying
at night.
