Objective
The student will review helicopter emergency situations and procedures, with an emphasis on Robinson helicopters.

- Power failure at altitude
- Low G conditions and mast bumping
- Low RPM recognition and recovery
- Dynamic rollover
- Retreating blade stall
- Settling with power and vortext ring state
- Ground resonance (fully articulated rotor systems and Eurocopter/A-Star Star-flex hinge)

- Loss of tail rotor effectiveness

Completion Standards
At the completion of this lesson, the student displays, through
oral examination, an understanding of the hazards associated with
helicopter flight, including contributing factors and proper recovery
techniques.
