The latest New Yorker carries an article on Steve Jobs by Malcolm Gladwell. There are some interesting highlights lifted from the recent 656-page biography of Mr. Jobs so if you’re not willing to invest a rainy day in reading the book this could be a useful shortcut.

I’m about 3/4 the way through Isaacson’s book. It’s an excellent read.
“[Jobs] had never liked the idea of people being able to open things. ‘That would just allow people to screw things up.’ ” Crikey. How did the Apple II ever manage to come out on his watch?
Thank you for the link – in an imperfect world, it is heartening to read Laurene Powell Jobs’ comment about – don’t skip the messy parts!
So do you know which washing machine they got, Phil? Surprizes me to see you accept fragmental info 🙂 !
Thank you for the link. Never miss a post of yours.

I read an article about Steve Jobs and his washing machine (among other things) years ago. If memory serves, I believe he ended up getting a Miele.
