  2. I enjoyed your review very much. I felt I could understand how I would react to the cruise. I also feel like it was a good value for the price paid. I am going on cruise to Alaska in early September on Silversea, which is more expensive than the average cruise line. I also don’t see myself as a cruise person but I want to cruise the Inside Passage.

    I read with interest about your camera and lens choices. It reminded me of your posts from the Photo.net days. I always loved those. I haven’t taken out my Canon SLR gear in years because I feel it is too heavy. I recently bought a Panasonic GX85 M43 body and lenses. I love the size and the IQ is good enough for me. It feels liberating. On the cruise, I want to have a long lens to photograph bears, birds and such. I am thinking of buying a Sony RX10iii. I am not crazy about bridge cameras but it might fit the bill for the reach it offers in relation to size and weight.

    I gobble up posts like yours because they are based on your personal experience and you aren’t trying to sell anything. Based on my years of reading your writing I can figure that if you enjoyed it I might too and vice versa.
