Security bureaucracies will ask for four times as much as they really want and then settle for half of that. Trump is familiar with this negotiating strategy because it’s his too.

Thank you for not calling him the “trumpenfuher” but I also think “king donald” is disrespectful. Let’s call him president-elect Trump. Or if you want to just be casual I think “The Donald” would be alright.

Or, if you really insist on colloquial German, “Herr Trumpenfuhrer”, he is the president-elect after all, and perhaps for less formal invocations, “Das Trumpenfuhrer”.

@toucan: philg has been calling President X on this blog “King X” for more than a decade, including a retroactive(?) crowning for GHWB.

I don’t recall any King Clintons, though. Make of that what you will.
