  1. The LoC site says that the survey will remain open, but when I click on the link, it says the survey is closed.

  2. Well way back when we called them “wet backs” even though the ones in Arizona came no where near a river. Maybe they were called that because they got sweaty and wet on their backs from working hard in the Arizona sun. They did not like that name. I guess it was sort of bad. Why not just illegals?

  3. I think the term “wetbacks” came from Texas, where they had to cross a big river (literally).
