An engineer posted the following on Facebook a couple of days ago:
They say women can’t show anger…
I predict those words will be recanted shortly.
Her woke friends all clicked “Like”.
My response:
There’s a fairly new play in which a woman shows a bit of anger: Medea.
Readers: Of the women who have been attacking Brett Kavanaugh, which one would be best cast in the role of Medea for an Amazon Prime revival in modern dress?
Phil, you are not winning any facebook friends here!
Justice Brett Kavanaugh could handle it himself, Mister Belligerence. I am practicing saying “Justice Kavanaugh” today so it won’t be so painful next week.
“They say women can’t show anger…”
I don’t know a single person over the age of five who identifies as female and has not shown anger.
If I said “They say women can’t show anger” in a forum like Facebook, I don’t know a single person who identifies as female who would not show anger while telling me how I am a sub-human sexist !@#$%^&*().
Is there a place where women all as calm and patient as Mister Rogers? How can I get there? How is your friend (who lives in this magical place) unaware of the world the rest of us inhabit?
I have found in my life that it is men who can’t show anger, especially in the workplace.
They say women can’t show anger…
Since you’re so fond of posing questions, the question here would be who is the “they” referred to in this statement. It’s possible that the person making the statement wouldn’t be able to name anyone, making it much ado nothing. The other possibility is that you’re talking this out of context.
Vince: You are suggesting that I show my commitment to feminism by attacking a woman on Facebook for her ignorance and inability to reason?
Look again at the short comment that I made. I suggested that you pose a question, I didn’t suggest an attack and I made no mention of feminism,
