  1. Vaccinated people are more confident to sit in public places, so Mc Donalds has a vested interest in increasing the numbers.

    They should offer a free “all you can eat” meal in exchange for a shot.

    • Anonymous: McDonald’s is mostly drive-through, I think, and therefore higher amounts of coronapanic benefit them (since Americans are too lazy to cook, the only ways to maintain a BMI of 35 (and thus qualify for life-saving COVID-19 therapy Regeneron in Massachusetts) are drive-through and eat in car, drive-through and take home, or sit down inside a restaurant). The more fear in the population, the easier it is for McDonald’s to take market share away from restaurants that lack drive-throughs.

      (Since any kind of COVID-19 messaging would tend to increase fear, it would make financial sense for any restaurant with a drive-through to put messages regarding COVID on its cups.)

    • @philg: I’ve seen it. I’ve watched it. It’s happening again. Someone should measure it. I live near a place where restaurants and leisure/boutique are a significant part of what holds everything together. There’s a McDonalds and three other drive-thru fast food chains within 1.5 miles of each other among the “real” restaurants, and it’s not hard to see.
