Another call from Kamala Harris for Donald Trump to be assassinated

Here’s Kamala Harris, a few days ago, referencing Hitler and warning of “unchecked and extreme power” that could soon be wielded by the hated dictator Donald Trump:

(Notice that the person who calls everyone opposed to her a “Nazi” has chosen to wear a brown shirt.)

Is there a way to combine the above warning with Kamala Harris’s worrisome poll numbers in such a way that it isn’t a call for Donald Trump’s assassination? Americans are too stupid/deplorable to save themselves from Nouveau Hitler via the electoral process, according to some polls, which means it will fall to latter-day replacements for General Friedrich Olbricht, Major General Henning von Tresckow, General Carl-Heinrich Rudolf Wilhelm von Stülpnagel, and Colonel Claus von Stauffenberg. Assuming that there is a Nakba on November 5, will it be Pete Buttigieg, fresh back at his/her/zir/their desk from maternity leave, who leaves a briefcase under a conference table at a Trump transition meeting? Who could suspect a smiling friendly Mayor Pete?

Separately, I encountered Donald Trump, fresh from a shift at McDonald’s, and a Secret Service agent, at a neighbor’s house last Saturday night:

  1. Is there a way to combine the above warning with Kamala Harris’s worrisome poll numbers in such a way that it isn’t a call for Donald Trump’s assassination? No.

Who could suspect a smiling friendly Mayor Pete? Toucan Sam.

  2. The Dems have made a lot of reckless assertions against the Donald by comparing him, with his Jewish daughter and Jewish grandchildren, to Hitler – something Doogie Emhoff never has and never will have. Hopefully the voters will rebuke the Dems. come election day.

    • jdc: How do you know that Doug Emhoff won’t have a Jewish household worker of childbearing age? That could lead to a slap or a pregnancy!

  3. Kamala repeatedly chants “NEVER AGAIN.”

That, of course, is the phrase that is identified as one of the lessons of the Holocaust and to prevent genocide.

    Clearly purposeful.

Further confirmation of her equating Trump to Hitler and why we must all come together and have him eradicated, particularly if he wins.

    What else could “never” mean?

  4. Much like Trump or other politicians, Harris has yet to offer somewhat concrete solutions for issues like inflation, immigration, to name some. Additionally, she lacks any record of her own to discuss with voters, and despite nearly four years as Vice President, she remains unknown to the public on her records. So, when the message fails to stick, the approach shifts — escalating scare tactics to absurd degree, even when non if it make sense. Clearly, she is trying to out do Trump!

Michael Obama: when they go low we go high.
Kamala Harris: when they go low, we go lower.

    • George, I really love your use of Big *Mike* (Michael) Obama! Very fitting for him (preferred pronoun).

  5. In all of the history and social studies classes, they never actually study a Hitler speech in its proper presentation so virtually no American knows how they actually work. Whinging, lying, half truths, paranoia, scapegoating, fearmongering, Hitler was a genius at that. He could keep it up for hours without getting tired.

There are now some great YouTube AI assisted video of a translation of a Hitler speech, with the audio pacing, dynamics and intonation carried over to English. They are *remarkably* like Trumps speech at Jan 6 and other campaign stops more recently. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9l5AiZ8uvfo https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gR8a79sf7YU

Trump has these rhetoric and speaking techniques well refined. And there are millions of Americans who don’t know how that kind of speech works. His Jan 6 speech, where so many followers were simply delighted, it is basically a Hitler style whinge fest. Forget the antisemitism angle, the power of Hitler was his way of stroking people to appeal to their sense of being virtuous victims of some evil conspiracy (‘deep state’, ‘election stealers’, ) . And Trump has that Hiter-like ability to keep it up for hours (its easier to do that when you just make shit up).

His effortless use of fascist language is like red meat for people who have never seen this particular rhetoric technology in action. It is like he invented it himself , with some key phrases lifted from the fascists (‘poisoning the blood of the country’, ‘america for americans’). The ‘Haitians eating cats and dogs’ thing was so stupid and evil yet it worked perfectly well.

Stories from his staff of trying to steer him away from all sorts of unconstitutional behavior should be enough warning.
It is not hyperbole to say he is the closest thing we’ve seen to Hitler in US high office, just ask JD Vance.

    • @hqm, you’ve been stung by fear-driven media, Democrats, and liberal narratives.

I disagree with much of what Trump has said and continues to say, but labeling him as Hitler, a fascist, or the devil is also as extreme and childish. Trump represents a new type of animal (political figure) that people haven’t yet figured out how to tame, so they turn to fear-mongering.

If Trump is re-elected, no one will lose their freedom (women will still have access to abortion), the U.S. will not become a socialist country (illegal will continue to cross the boarder), and we’re not heading into the dark ages (the earth will remain round).

    • I think that all successful modern political parties, except maybe Javier Milei’s down in Argentina, owe a huge debt to German’s National Socialists. If you compare what modern parties promise you’ll find a lot of similarities with https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_Socialist_Program

Hitler made a huge mistake in breaking his alliance with the Soviets, obviously, but he showed later politicians worldwide the path to success. Some of Hitler’s promises:

Abolition of unearned (work and labour) incomes. Breaking of debt (interest)-slavery. [Tax the rich, in other words]

We demand nationalization of all businesses which have been up to the present formed into companies (trusts). [Support small business]

We demand that the profits from wholesale trade shall be shared out. [Tax the rich, again]

We demand an expansion on a large scale of old age welfare. [protect, strengthen, and enhance Social Security]

We demand the creation of a healthy middle class and its conservation, immediate communalization of the great warehouses and their being leased at low cost to small firms, the utmost consideration of all small firms in contracts with the State, county or municipality. [Support small businesses, again; Can we think of any modern politicians who frequently reference the “middle class”?]

We demand a land reform suitable to our needs, provision of a law for the free expropriation of land for the purposes of public utility, abolition of land rent and prevention of all speculation in land. [Tax the rich, again]

The state is to care for the elevating national health by protecting the mother and child… [Free child care]

    • And let’s not forget that WWII and Hitler’s rise were largely rooted in the effects of the “Treaty of Versailles” [1]. This treaty imposed conditions so severe that meeting them without devastating generations of Germans was nearly impossible. It was this hardship that allowed Hitler to rally the German people and propel them into WWII [2].
