What do the folks who run the de Young Museum gift shop think that their California customer base wants to read?

What about people with more advanced gender IDs than simply “woman”?

The museum offers a Land Acknowledgment. What about the Indigenous?

  1. So what’s the A/B on sales of these DIE books? Are people really enticed into the store and buy these? Or does no one actually buy books in a bookstore any more and they just go there to noodle on their phone or laptop and the book covers are there to create a welcoming ambience for a certain demographic?
