From Pink News: “Renee Nicole Good was a 37-year-old and died just a few streets away from her home, according to reporting by the Minnesota Star Tribune … Good had been married to Timmy Ray Macklin Jr., who died in 2023 at the age of 36, and had been currently living with her wife in Minneapolis alongside her six-year-old son. Good also reportedly has two other children, who live with extended family members.”
Our government says that the late Ms. Good was interfering with an ICE operation, presumably to kidnap noble Somalis who’ve done so much to enrich the U.S. But if the incident happened “just a few streets away from her home” and the ICE agents weren’t wearing conventional uniforms, is it possible that Good was interacting with ICE only by chance?
I can understand why someone who works in the Welfare-Industrial Complex (or Big Daycare) would try to stop ICE from deporting Muslims, but it doesn’t make logical sense that someone with Renée Good’s personal background would try to stop ICE from deporting Muslims. She wanted to maximize the number of Somalis who would, if they were in power, force her to become a 2nd or 3rd wife of a man instead of a lesbian partner of some other woman? And a Muslim-run nation might not let a woman unload her kids in order to enjoy more sexual freedom. (American women typically keep their kids after terminating a sexual relationship in order to harvest child support profits, but perhaps Ms. Good’s first husband didn’t earn enough money for that to make sense? (Mothers abandoning their kids to the father is much more common in Europe where child support revenue might be capped at $2,000 to $8,000 per year, depending on the country.))
Readers: What is the evidence that Ms. Good was aware of or interested in ICE operations?
Of course, I’m aware of the existence of Queers for Palestine, but I don’t think that’s quite the same. Queers for Palestine seek to impose an Islamic theocracy (Hamas rule) over Israelis. They aren’t working to subject themselves to Islamic rule.
(This post is not seeking to assign blame to anyone. With perhaps 30 million undocumented immigrants living in the U.S. and guns being widely distributed among both migrants and ICE agents, I’m sure that this won’t be the last death related to immigration enforcement. I’m just trying to figure out what happened. If Renée Good interacted with ICE purely by chance then her death is even sadder because of its pointlessness.)

consensual same-sex sexual activity is illegal in Somalia, with penalties ranging from prison sentences (up to three years under civil law) to the death penalty in areas controlled by groups like al-Shabab, all within a highly stigmatized cultural and religious environment where homosexuality is criminalized and heavily persecuted.

Renee Good reportedly lost custody of her first two children. She only had custody of youngest one. https://www.marca.com/en/lifestyle/us-news/2026/01/08/696026e046163fe6088b45cf.html
She was also the lead car in a group of activists who were stalking ICE around the city, following them everywhere they went. As the lead car, she was also responsible for boxing them in on snow covered roads.
Her lesbian third spouse was outside filming while Renee was in the Pilot SUV. Renee couldn’t possibly have been trying to flee the scene, unless she intended to leave her wife behind in the Minnesota winter.
Reportedly she backup up, turned her wheel to the left, aimed at the ICE Officer, and spun her wheels forward on a patch of ice. The ICE Officer drew his weapon, and she turned the wheel to the right and hit the gas a second time. The ICE Officer fired through the front windshield with his right hand while attempting to use his left arm to push away the hood of her car and avoid getting dragged.
Curious where you got your “reporting?” Because I’ve seen the video several times and my interpretation of events is very different than yours. There are extracted still frames from when each of the three shots are fired(you can see the muzzle gas cloud) that clearly show the shooter was not in the path of the vehicle or in danger of being hit. If he’d stood stationary, the vehicle would have never touched him. You can clearly see his feet and the steering direction of the front wheels which is away from him. At one point, the shooter was in front of the vehicle because he put himself there by circling around front and mugging the car, though even at that time he wasn’t in the path of the vehicle because the vehicle was reversing. None of her maneuvers suggested erratic or aggressive behavior or that she intended to harm anyone, rather she was attempting to flee without contact. In facet, with his gun drawn and trained on her, he should have easily seen that she was turning the steering wheel away from him. Another agent had rushed the driver and was frantically pulling on the door handle. Who knows if the two masked agents were screaming conflicting, incoherent commands. Typical of law enforcement in these scenarios, these guys seem to have a large appetite for dishing out harassment, but when they encounter the slightest resistance or deviation to the script in their mind which only they are privy to, they lose their minds and become hyper aggressive and escalatory. Trump pardons all his goons, so it seems likely this kind of killing will become more frequent.
Law enforcement has the right to harass people who break the law, that’s kind of their job. It’s illegal to resist law enforcement, and when they encounter resistance, they are supposed to escalate. De-escalation presupposes that the suspect will submit. Law enforcement has to maintain escalation dominance or law enforcement does not exist, everyone could just resist and get away. People like you are in open rebellion against the authority of the United States, expecting to be able to obstruct its agents without being forcibly stopped, so yes we will see more of this. “We accept the issue.” – General William Tecumseh Sherman
Tony, specifically what law had she broken? If deadly force enters the calculus, shouldn’t this be obvious to a layperson? “Obstructing” unmarked cars of sloppy goons? And, at what point did the agent legitimately fear for his life, such that deadly force was reasonable and justified?
Your views on the grossly vast and assumptive rights of law enforcement and the government are baffling and do not square with the US constitution or any laws. It also doesn’t square with ICE’s own policies regarding vehicle encounters. What you describe is a society where cops are judge and jury. As if you desire to live under an authoritarian dictatorship with low, inconsistent and fluid standards of government accountability.
It is the citizens that grant authority to the government and must hold them accountable in a democracy, by routinely exercising our rights within the law in order to maintain and protect them. This includes scrutinizing and holding police officers accountable for their actions–not the blank check your prescribe. You may desire to live in a society where people must instantly cower and surrender their rights anytime someone wearing a haphazard outfit not resembling any law enforcement, face mask, tactical gear and a subdued police patch approaches, I do not. The 9/11 hijackers counted on people with that submissive mindset. I want no part of a society where fragile, maladjusted law enforcement agents repeatedly commit government sanctioned, grossly unjustified murder.
@Senorpablo, If a man, rapist or not, exposes himself, charges toward a woman, and behaves in a threatening way, what response do you realistically expect from her? Should she calmly let him follow her, hoping he will lose interest? Should she allow him to get close, trusting that he won’t go any further? Or is it far more reasonable to expect her to defend herself immediately, without thinking twice, by fighting back with everything she has and even using pepper spray if she has one?
Folks like Good, and those who are supporting her need to understand the risks involved. It is tragic, but the outcome was predictable, whether from this incident or something else down the road for her. She chose a path, and sadly, that path led to a deadly end.
You live by the knife, and you die by the knife. It is that simple.
Phil, your supposition about Renee is 100% correct. Just because she had been harassing the ICE agents for hours that day, all the while yelling “nazi/gestapo” at them, doesn’t mean she didn’t just happen upon the scene.
Apparently her “wife” said that Renee was killed because of her.
Here is an article with many links to other mentions. https://nypost.com/2026/01/08/us-news/renee-nicole-good-was-minneapolis-ice-watch-warrior-who-trained-to-resist-feds-before-shooting/
I want to add that if it were a regular traffic stop by state troopers or any non-failed city police department officers, then guns would be drown five minutes before circulating videos of the event started, and not while one officer is being drugged be Renee’s SUV and another one in the direct line few steps before accelerating SUV. Sorry for the life lost, everyone is made in the image of God, but it is hard to see how ICE agents could be at fault here.
Thanks for the NY Post link, As usual, they inhabit a different planet from the Wall Street Journal and similar outlets. “It isn’t clear what brought Good to the area of the shooting” says https://www.wsj.com/us-news/what-we-know-so-far-about-renee-nicole-good-bb3d847c and https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2026/jan/08/minnesota-ice-shooting-nicole-macklin-good quotes her “ex-husband” as explicitly saying she was “not an activist”
If the NY Post reporting is accurate, I am more confused than ever. How does a Rainbow Flagism adherent have regular contact with conservative Muslim Somalis and conclude that she wants Muslim Somalis to set social and legal norms for her city? Maybe the answer is that, despite physical proximity, Somalis and whites in Minnesota seldom interact (that’s what I observed during my trip to Minneapolis last month).
Phil is normally so on top of things that I am surprised he does not know that white women regularly harass ICE, including in support of Somalis. Unless he is being sarcastic.
Also this incident happened in fractions of a second. And I would imagine hearing that engine rev while the car was pointed at him was what alarmed that ICE officer. He almost certainly did not know which way the tires were pointed, but they were actually pointed at him at first. Also he had recently been dragged by another protestor in a car.
The final thing, that the left never considers. Why would the officer have killed a person he does not know, with everyone watching him and everything on camera. People do not look at motive anymore.
Phil, you can relax. There is no need to be more “confused” than ever. Your initial intuition was correct. Also, two other key things I wanted to add to my earlier comments that will help you in understanding what happened: 1) Just because she refused to get out of her car after being ordered to do so multiple times doesn’t mean she didn’t obey commands by law enforcement officers; 2) Just because she floored her Honda and tried to run over the law enforcement officer in front of her doesn’t mean she had any intention to hurt him. Lastly, all the videos on the internet that are purporting to show the incident are Deepfakes, and you should ignore them (hat tip to Karine Jean-Pierre for this key insight).
Philip, given history of late or confusing reporting from WSJ starting per-subprime crisis of 2008 (do you recall all their falling anvil ads?), I, former reader of NYT, WSJ and Barrons, more inclined to think that NY Post has better journalism. Also, there were dozens, over a hundred, of vehicular attacks on ICE agent in recent weeks.
Phil, you are missing a possibility – what if her desires can’t be revealed by taking her actions seriously? What if what she wants is for a man, backed by other men, to put her in her place and make her be a 1950s housewife? American men have repeatedly proven unwilling/unable to do this, so maybe Somalian men will?

If Renee Nicole Good was a black female, then everything would be quiet.
DP, the genetically lower IQ black females weren’t there (at all). What does that tell you about Good’s IQ? Comprende?
Lots of echo chamber reporting “on both sides”. I wish there was “what we are hiding” in addition to “what we know”.
If Good was part of an organized resistance, her handlers should have fully disclosed the danger of interfering with federal operations (involving big guns). Why didn’t I see any Noble Somalis blocking the streets with their grifted SUVs during the raids, instead of woke white soccer moms? REMFs I guess.
Was the person killed in Minneapolis even aware that an ICE operation was in progress? Yes!
Hello:
Sadly I think she was aware. Here a 3 minutes footage.

This is a perfect example of the Gell-Mann Amnesia Effect.
If they lie this nakedly about “Mom dropping off her kids” when it is really “Woman who lost custody of her kids, stalked officers all day, and attempted to run over an officer with her car” what else are they lying about?
Steve, to be clear, just because they were lying doesn’t mean they were lying.
