I love it! As a proud papa of an almost 6-year-old golden named Ike (http://imagesafari.com/post/114/aa) who is still every bit a puppy as your new neighbor, I can appreciate it.

How much time elapsed between the first shot and the last? I noticed the sun came out partway through …
quite a winsome couple! Next time, would love to see the two of them being readied for a flight in the airplane. Philip’s youngest nephew (b. 3/02) often talks about Alex getting strapped into a harness to sit in the backseat. Alex offers his paws ever-so-sweetly.
Love to observe folks like my brother who like pets for their own sake. My husband and I absolutely agree that we only acquired the feline (1990s) and the canine (2001 to present) because of our children’s pleadings. Furthermore, some friends of ours blame us for their dog acquisition in 2002, as their son’s best friend (our son) had a dog!
But of course Alex has a much sweeter disposition than our somewhat skittish dog . . .

Alex still looks so young. He’s a handsome dog. I put one of these photos on my desktop and cleared all the junk off of it so I could see happy dogs at play. Thanks for sharing as always.

Cute indeed. Alex has the short end of the stick, however, blown highlights in some of the frames don’t do his fur justice, perhaps you could recover some if the shots were RAW.

Two things struck me:
It’s amazing how puppies bring out the puppy in adult dogs. You’d think they’d be annoyed by the little scamps, but they rarely seem to be. (As contrasted with kittens and mature cats)
They’re so social, it’s really easy to anthropomorphize them. It’s really easy to picture what they might be “thinking” in many of those pictures.

Lovely photos, is it just me though or do 5D photos seem… somehow unsaturated compared to what the small sensor canon dslrs offer up?
So cute! They are both so adorable & fluffy & lovely! I have a black labrador, & he is so friendly & gentle & patient, & still a pup at times.

They should be cast for a film about dogs.I have two fat lazy cats, but after seeing these two creatures, my heart melt. They are like toys, so nice, i would like to hгg and kiss either.
I had a Golden when I was a kid. You can’t ask for a better companion. Now I have a Rottweiler named “Betty.” There are many who would claim that Rottweilers are by nature violent and aggressive animals that should not be allowed in the home as pets. Media propaganda depicting horrible attacks by the animal does not alleviate the concern that the breed of dog is dangerous. Like any dog, Rots have unique personalities that must be considered before purchase. All too often potential owners seek out this breed of dog without knowledge of their distinct traits and personalities, or seek to use the dog’s loyal nature for deviant purposes. Rottweilers are not by nature evil creatures.
