Man admits that women are better, but nonetheless clings to power

Here’s a tweet from the boss of the United Nations, under whose aegis the World Health Organization was able to stop COVID-19 from becoming a serious problem for humanity:

António Guterres says that the world cannot be peaceful unless humans who identify as “women” are the leaders. My modest proposal:

If female leadership is essential to world peace, why not resign and give your job to someone who identifies as a “woman”?

Why won’t this guy quit?

(Separately, Jacinda Ardern, who ran the island fortress (against COVID) of New Zealand, recently had a child and quit, like 40 percent of female-identifying physicians in the U.S.. How is the world going to be peaceful if the number of female-identifying leaders is actually going down?)

Here’s a screen shot in case the original falls into a memory hole:

  1. Why do you feel the need to capture tweets for posterity lately? I thought Elon Musk, the newly-rehabbed-as-right-wing billionaire is on the case — remaking Twitter into what Truth Social always wanted to be.

(My Twitter feed used to be a healthy mix of normal news and right-wing lunacy. Now the last couple of months it is all right-wing lunacy (news?). The balloon incident has amplified the problem.)

    • Why include a screen shot of a tweet? Can’t the original poster delete it if he/she/ze/they wishes, for example? That was true both before and after the cruel tyranny of Elon Musk over the twitterverse.

    • Have you ever considered the idea that what YOU believe is, in fact, lunacy? And that modern “right-wing lunacy” is used to be moderate centrist just a few decades ago.

Reading news from countries ouside of Western media bubble does help to understand how much of our “reality” is totally manufactured.

    • averros: My favorite recent example is that, after observing the difficulties caused by borrowing in excess of a year of GDP ($23 trillion GDP vs. $31 trillion borrowed), it is lunacy to oppose our government borrowing and spending another $31 trillion.

    • Why don’t you retweet Guterres’ virtue signaling so it gets more likes? The Party is unhappy with 83.3K views and only 913 likes!

I’m sorry about your ruined Twitter feed. Could it be that virtuous tweets were boosted by bots, algorithms and brigading and Musk has put an end to that?

  2. Arden gave birth in June 2018, announced her engagement in May 2019, and scheduled a wedding for Jan. 2022, according to Wikipedia. The boyfriend fiance appears to be the father of the baby, although Wikipedia does not say so. But then the wedding was indefinitely postponed because of the outbreak of the sars-cov2-omicron variant!

Apparently they are still not married, and having an out-of-wedlock baby at age 38 has not damaged her political popularity in New Zealand.

  3. Q: Does he do this for every International Day with a little Twitterblurb, or did he give them #SpecialTreatment ??

Observation: He wants to “create” new societies. It’s an interesting choice of words. Not “promote peaceful and resilient..” or even “empower peaceful and resilient…” – “create.”

Does the U.N. think of itself that way, at least through the mind of Guterres? “Society Creation Directorate?” I have to read some Woodrow Wilson now.
