Recent settlers in the U.S. demand decolonialization in Israel

I hope that everyone is engaged in solemn reflection on Indigenous Peoples’ Day.

A recent rally in New York City included attacks on Jewish Israelis for being colonizers/settlers. What’s interesting about this? The photos of the pro-Arab group appears to include many Americans who are either recent immigrants of children of recent immigrants (i.e., “settlers” or “colonizers”, part of the continued displacement/replacement/dilution of Native Americans and part of a global wave of Arab/Muslim expansion that started with the original Arab conquests (622-750 AD)). People from Arab and Muslim countries were generally ineligible for immigration to the U.S. until the Immigration and Nationality Act of 1965.

How would they feel if Native Americans could gain political power here and begin a program of decolonialization by deporting everyone who didn’t have at least an Elizabeth Warren-style claim of Native American ancestry?

From the Daily Mail:

No outdoor event in NYC would be complete without Faucists wearing their masks against an aerosol virus (primitive surgical mask in the background for the image below):

Note that the sacred rainbow can also be used by those opposed to Israel, e.g., “Queers for Palestine”. From the folks who boycott Israel:

  1. Philip, we are not “settlers.” As you should know, we are citizens and god willing we will be voting early and often for Joe Biden and his virtuous Democrats in our first-ever voting.

  2. Yikes! Things are going from bad to worse. And our governments just keep pushing war and more war. Are they entertained?

“So glad they’re bringing back the Middle East war for this fall TV season. Honestly, the Russian-Ukraine war was getting pretty boring. You can’t even see what’s happening because everything is shot from a satellite or drone. I bet we get lots of great video of the carnage and death in the Middle East this season. I wonder if they’ll bring back any of the actors from the prior Middle East war seasons.

Episode 1, Death to the Zionists, was amazing. The footage was phenomenal. And the paragliders attack on the music festival was one of the best scenes in the history of television. I wonder if the second episode will continue the storyline of the plucky underdog rising up to overthrow the slave masters or if the Zionists will strike back overwhelmingly. Either way, there should be plenty of death and destruction to make this a bonafide hit. So excited. This will be the best season of Middle East war ever! Get your DVRs ready. You won’t want to miss any of the action.”

  3. Just a related thought: if you are uncle joe, with little going your way, what might be a nice photo opportunity to demonstrate you are a can-do guy? How about secretly flying to Israel overnight under the cloak of darkness and then delivering a finger-wagging speech (think Bill Clinton) there before naptime on the way back.

  4. looking at these upstanding US citizens and law-abiding hard working immigrants selected by US immigration system as cream of the crop of those striving to enter good ole USA I do not feel that bad about and feel close to illegal, err, undocumented aliens, or aliens from Alpha Centaurus for that matter.

  5. The large text in the placard at center of the last picture in the post appears to read “Jewish Lesbian-Free Palestine”?

  6. Religion, and more exactly, religious doctrine are dangerous. I grew up in a Methodist church. I’m 60 years old now, and by the time I reached my twenties I had a LOT of questions that didn’t seem to add up about my faith. The universe is simply too vast and old for it to make any sense that humans, floating around on our tiny rock have it all figured out (God, that is). If I had to put a label on my belief state today I’d call myself a Spiritual Agnostic. But the disturbing part of my experience growing up was how there were a few people I went to church with as a child and a teen that grew up to have such strong conviction that today they would literally choose death over denouncing their faith. They became truly indoctrinated. Ultimately, that’s how faith works. It’s a process of indoctrination. Personally I believe that most Muslims are peaceful and mean no harm. However, the radicals (not unlike radicals in many things) take their religious doctrine very seriously. They have doctrine that allows them to deny their faith without penalty when persecuted. And the tiny minority that take the sword passage from the Quran literally have proven to be quite dangerous. My point in bringing this up is that it really doesn’t matter what your religious flavor is, the doctrine of many religions (including Christianity) if taken literally, violate law in the worst case, or best case simply don’t work in modern society. It’s just my opinion, but as all the faiths on earth go, the Muslims are the most completely indoctrinated. Even those who aren’t radical, are completely and utterly bought in. I don’t need to point out that can be very dangerous as the percentage of Muslims on earth continues to grow and consume more of the human race. At some point, rational people are going to have to take a stand against those who act irrationally (or violently) on behalf of religion. I hope is doesn’t sound dooms dayish, but I worry that at some point in future, that conflict will do us all in. I’ve hyperbole for years that a war between Israel and the Muslims of the middle east could start a nuclear war that could end us all. I think we are smarter than that today, but also would have thought we were smart enough not to indoctrinate ourselves and our children based on text(s) written by man to control man.

    • And how methodists indoctrinated you for their profit? To join BDS that majority of thus church supports? How they controlled you? Did you push you to commits atrocities? In my reading of the old testament see no man control man requests. See notion that all man are equal before god, that clergy is limited to spiritual service in this world and requirement to limit power of the king.
Is it different for the Methodists? Do Methodists last power and rule us through civilian and governmental institutions? Or did they join Hamas in pillaging South Israel civilians or do they celebrate the event on the streets?
I think that intellectuals engaging in thought process that has no basis in reality is a huge waste of human potential.

  7. An acute observation (as usual!). I didn’t see anyone point out the obvious corollary, so I will. US Jews, by contrast with those “recent settlers” in the pictures, are indeed generally more consistent. They like the benefits of colonizing while removing or crushing the former inhabitants. Which attitude is preferable is I suppose a matter of taste.

    • I was always wondering what argument similar to your means. Are there any supportive facts? It seems that majority of American Jews support Democratic party and it’s policy, often to their personal detriment. Democrats elect more Jews then Republicans, but otherwise there has not been even a single Jewish presidential nominee from either party, Democrat or Republican.
Of course dear Lord I understand that you are just a hereditary antisemite or impersonate one on this blog and debate with you is useless, but still , where are the arguments?
