I can’t help being reminded of the Modern Family episode Two Monkeys and a Panda where the gay dads, having created the eponymous story for their Vietnamese adopted daughter, think they have invented a new line of best-sellers, only to be disabused when they check out the gay parenting section in the bookshop and find that no conceivable queer parent and child combo is without a book.
That was almost 15 years ago.
