The Mamdani Caliphate officially begins

Happy New Year to those who celebrate and, of course, Happy Last Day of Kwanzaa to everyone.

Today is the day that Ayatollah Mamdani takes over control of New York City. Folks have made dire predictions about what might happen under a Mamdani Caliphate, but I find it tough to believe that he could do a worse job than his predecessors. Here’s a calculation of what’s been happening in NYC public schools, for example:

Source for the above:

I share some goals with the new mayor, actually. I’m an enthusiast for free public transit, which is fairly common in Florida (trolleys along tourist routes in Miami Beach, Uber-style Teslas zipping people around Coral Gables). I suppose sufficiently high congestion prices for driving around NYC that there aren’t any traffic jams and the money used to make the buses and subways (1) free, (2) frequent, and (3) comfortable. Mobility that doesn’t cause time-wasting traffic is something that New York is rich enough to afford and 98 percent of the infrastructure is already paid for (subway tracks, roads, buses). As a resident of Palm Beach County, I’m a huge fan of massive tax increases on the NYC rich. Every successful New Yorker who moves to Palm Beach from NY lowers our property tax bill (where “success” = rich enough to buy a $10 million house).

For readers who are celebrating Kwanzaa, a golden retriever busting into the Kwanzaa bush:

  1. “…and the money used to make the buses and subways (1) free, (2) frequent, and (3) comfortable. ”

And safe to ride w/o being attacked by…errr…uumm…aahhh…never mind.

  2. Correct me if I’m wrong, but $52K-$54K would pay day tuition at Philips Exeter Academy. $20K more and you have a good private school in NYC. Actually, if you factor in the absentee rate, maybe about the same per pupil-hour.

    • What about truancy laws? Are they using the empty classrooms to house parents they detain for letting their kids skip school? I don’t understand why they even schooling is required anymore if they graduate morons. Kids can turn themselves into morons for free by just using social media and playing games all day.

  3. What if NYC public schools and teachers are doing excellent work, and the students just are being educated to the full extent of their capabilities? Maybe the demographics have shifted to “newcomers”, who just aren’t capable of the same academic levels as the “heritage” students they replaced?

    • Many Somali Americans have become millionaires in MN and OH so perhaps academics are optional for financial success. In Germany the same ethnicity have shown to be very good at street drug dealing, so IQ doesn’t have to be a barrier to a good and easy income!

  4. The caliphates go back centuries so it would be understandable if New Yorkers lost track. What puzzles me is how we forgot already the icons of Mamdani’s self avowed ideology, socialism. Stalin, Mao, and Pol Pot ruled barely 50 years ago, or barely 70 in for the first genocidal tyrant. Xi is still going (we’ll generously allow the “not real socialists” dodge for dynastic DPRK and petronarco state venezuela).

Has there ever been a socialist state that did not descend into famine and mass murder? Why is it acceptable to be a socialist in 2025?

    • “Has there ever been a socialist state that did not descend into famine and mass murder? Why is it acceptable to be a socialist in 2025?”

Good question. Likely because the next generation never learns from their parent mistakes and therefore doomed to repeat them.

Communism/”socialism” has by far the best PR in comparison to boring old and depressing capitalism. “from each according to their ability, to each according to their needs” — what’s not to love ?

  5. “I share some goals with the new mayor, actually.” That’s how Middle East got to be Middle East.
They thought that 7th century Mo-mdanies looked as somewhat of improvement. People rationalized their immediate interests to stay compliant and useful and suffered ever since, after short “golden age” period when invading colonizers were a small enough and remote enough group to be not too big pain . See Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, etc…

    • Barak A. Pearlmutter, I agree completely! And, thank goodness. It’s about time we normalized Jew Hatred and Antisemitism. They are a Despicable Group who have committed Genocide and all manner of other Evil Globally wherever they show up. Allahu Akbar!

  6. The day Mamdani delivers on his promises to New Yorkers, the NYC population will increase a hundredfold. Moving to New York will be a no-brainer! And with that many people, the city might just get so heavy that it sinks below sea level.
