Joe Biden asks to speak to Judge Kathryn Kimball Mizelle’s manager

“Biden administration to appeal ruling striking down transit mask mandate” (Washington Post, today):

The Biden administration will appeal a federal judge’s decision that struck down the mask mandate on public transportation, officials announced Wednesday.

The Justice Department filed notice of its plans to appeal after U.S. District Judge Kathryn Kimball Mizelle of Florida on Monday concluded that the mandate exceeded the statutory authority of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The ruling blindsided the White House and sparked days of debate within the administration about how to proceed.

In other words, the muscular Vanquisher of Corn Pop has asked to speak to the young judge’s manager!

Separately, as long as we’re talking about COVID Karens, I still can’t figure out why people who want to wear masks in public are in public to begin with. They’re afraid of COVID-19 so they put on a cloth mask or a non-fitted N95 mask after leaving the house. But if they’re afraid of COVID-19, why did they leave their houses in the first place? Karen visits a Florida theme park is an extreme example of this conundrum.

  1. Covid Karens know it’s all Covid theater. They just enjoy trying to control people and being rude in general!

  2. Yesterday I was in the small food store in Seattle suburb, cashier asked me to put on a mask, which was unusual, since most people don’t wear masks anymore, at least in the stores. Then I overheard him and the only other customer discussing, both in masks, that both their families recently had Covid 🤷‍♂️

They can’t believe the are immune now? Is it physiological?

Yes, let’s eliminate the court system that stands in the way of CDC dictatorship! Why can’t we have a Shanghai-style lockdown?

    • Thanks for sharing that quote, it perfectly echoes Thomas Jefferson’s sentiment on how government is supposed to operate.

    • Idiotic line of arguments. It argues to judicial branch that executive branch should have more power then judicial branch. Or is this argument constructed for Washington DC where all branches of government seem to merge right now?

    • Anon: You raise a great point. If the CDC had exercised its powers back in the 1980s we wouldn’t have HIV/AIDS (sex would have been prohibited and any babies required produced via medical means; IV drug use would have been eliminated via life term imprisonment of heroin users) and we would be able to enjoy “zero COVID” the way that China does.

is also good. “Her mask ruling also seems to usurp public health guidance while failing to understand science or the English language. … After Mizelle’s gutting of a basic public health protection, several of the largest US airlines quickly announced they would no longer be requiring masks on board. Several US cities have also said they will no longer be requiring masks on public transport, including buses, trains and subways.”

The judge rejected Science and so did the management teams at airlines and even the righteous Science-following officials in Maskachusetts forsook Science: https://www.masslive.com/coronavirus/2022/04/mbta-drops-covid-mask-mandate-after-florida-judge-reverses-federal-rule-though-face-coverings-still-welcome.html

    • Even in the San Francisco Bay Area, the City on a Hill and Beacon of Virtue/Science for the rest of the nation (packed with morons)… https://www.mercurynews.com/2022/04/20/vta-ends-mask-mandate-days-after-federal-judge-strikes-down-national-mask-requirement/

The Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority, Bay Area Rapid Transit, Caltrain and the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency announced Wednesday they were dropping their mask requirements aboard buses, trains and paratransit vehicles and at facilities.

Nothing stops the Bay Area Righteous from continuing to Follow Science and engaged in forced masking yet they won’t do it.

Isn’t that the whole point of having separate branches of government? Right now US government is totally dominated by the executive branch with it’s myriad of blatantly unconstitutional “regulations” and vast (just as unconstitutional) bureaucracies creating and enforcing these “regulations”.
