Following a mask-free flight between the Science strongholds of Denver and Atlanta, I learned that some people are concerned enough about aerosol COVID-19 to wear a surgical mask, but not concerned enough to avoid the crowded airport or the Chick fil-A line:
Having the Garmin Pilot app running while on a commercial airliner yields some unsettling messages:
Does the Pilot app need to be configured for aircraft characteristics, or does it just assume some typical GA envelope? I guess a sink rate may mean something different when you have 50000+lbs of thrust to help pull up.
in my experience the gps signal is weak in the back of an airliner and this is the result.
/df I’m not sure how it is doing what it is doing or why. Part of the issue might be that the airplane we were in was following a flight plan that was not programmed into Garmin Pilot.
