Replacementocracy

American-born New Yorkers said that they would vote for Andrew Cuomo (October 18 poll). Foreign-born New Yorkers said that that they would vote for Mayor Mamdani (charts below). What do we call the system of government that brought Mayor Mamdani to power? It doesn’t seem like “democracy” since many of the voters, like the new mayor himself, are only recently arrived. How about “replacementocracy” for when an election result is determined by the votes of immigrants? The neologism is literally “rule by replacements”.

The actual election results seem to be consistent with the above poll. Screen shot from last night:

Separately, it was interesting to watch Florida Realtor of the Year 2020 and 2021 compete against Florida Realtor of the Year 2026.

  1. The results in Williamsburg show that the “Hate Americans” are even more polarized than the “Not Americans.”

Although I’m fascinated by the Upper East Side vs Upper West Side split. I guess Cuomo and Mamdani perfectly encapsulate the personality difference between the hedgie kids and the theater kids.

  2. Phil, thanks so much for highlighting the new and improving America, where we are working tirelessly to dismantle all the evils perpetrated on the world by Western Civilization. Is this a recent epiphany? Allahu Akbar!

  3. Found on Twitter: “Young women are the story of tonight, per NBC exit polls:
    – 81% for Mamdani in NYC
    – 80% for Sherrill in NJ
    – 78% for Spanberger in VA”

  4. Any walled garden would eventually regress to the mean, though slower than it has. Meanwhile in Calif*, the enemy started gaining ground after a brief population decline in 2020, so we just changed voting boundaries to fix the glitch.

  5. If Mamdani can deliver even 1/10 of what he promises to the people of NYC, and to those who voted for him, it would be a no-brainer for everyone, legal or illegal, citizen or not, to move to NYC. Because life will be so much easier under the world of Mamdani’s imagined promises.

    • The only things he’s promised that he can actually deliver on are BDS (like killing Cornell Tech on Roosevelt Island or keeping Israelis or Zionists out of city universities), adjusting the K-12 schools to teach the horrors of the evil Zionist colonizers, and helping to safeguard the globalization of the intifada on the streets of New York City. These are all within the mayor’s power.

  6. Look on the bright side. At least we won’t have to listen to people sanctimoniously declare “there’s no room for antisemitism in New York City” anymore.

  7. I asked my nephew whether he was voting, but he said he could not care less. He is an US born American, but he grew up in Singapore and holds also an EU passport. He is young, good looking, educated, and choose rich parents, so I can see why he does not care.

  8. Mob-rule-ocracy, from https://www.usconstitution.net/founders-views-on-government/ just what the Founders of the U.S. feared:

    > The Founders favored a republic over direct democracy, where citizens’ voices are heard but filtered through elected representatives. This wasn’t a minor detail; they had genuine concerns about the risks of populism and mob rule. These worries stemmed from their experiences and historical knowledge. The Founders observed how an agitated mass could swiftly descend into chaos.

(IMO still eponymous in Republicans vs. Democrats) At least Mamasan was still kind of duly elected.

    • That is why voting was much harder in the past compared to today, to prevent “mob rule.” The voting age was higher, property ownership or tax payments were required, and each state had its own additional restrictions.

Democrats argue that college-educated voters (smart folks) support Democratic candidates, while white voters without a college degree (dumb folks) support Republican candidates. What they won’t tell you is that younger voters and those who rely on government assistance programs vote for Democratic candidates.

    • People who live a taxpayer-funded lifestyle (“government assistance”) are the “smart folks”! What could be smarter than enjoying a life of leisure funded by chumps?

    • NJ and VA are blue states. NJ Dem candidate was of more conservative bacground then NJ Rep. candidate.
Local races in other purple states are more concerning. Hope that Republicans take it as a wake up call and change their loosing tactics which so fare consisted of AI – generated social media videos.

  9. Mamdani is on record saying of course that we should tax the rich. More fundamentally, the Democratic Socialist Party has as its goal social ownership and democratic control of the means of production . That being the case, why isn’t he calling for at least the expulsion of the New York Stock Exchange. How can he allow this institutional virus of capitalism to remain and provide for replication of yet more rich individuals, who necessarily will achieve such status by exploitation of the laborers.

    • @Karl

Hi, how are Zeppo and Groucho? Your primitive, outdated socio-economic models don’t reflect the frightening modern fantasy world–Imamdani wants to remove labor, and have a glorious paradise where no one works, especially immigrants brought in to pick avocados in Central Park. Please don’t ask us how that is going to possibly work, we haven’t been able to figure it out here in the real world. Also, he’s not a communist–he just wants to do some European-style socialism:

All radical communists agree, and have changed your slogan. “Loafer immigrants of NYC unite!”

    • Karl, do you hate America and Western Civilization as much as Michelle and I do? Allahu Akbar!

    • @BHO, You go it all wrong. America is a melting pot. Everyone who enters the country, especially those who enter illegally, assimilates into the American way of life. Just look at places like Dearborn or Hamtramck, Michigan. God Bless America!
