Is there an election going on in your state right now?

We were informed in 2024 that if Donald Trump were to become president that would be the end of our democracy and we wouldn’t have any future elections. The Nakba actually did occur in November 2024 and the hated dictator entered the White House in January 2025. Have you seen any evidence of an election going on in your state right now?

Where can we find examples of the “threat to our democracy” language? See Why do the non-Deplorables deplore the Trump shooting? for some examples. From Democrat thought leader Joe Biden, June 28, 2024:

From Kamala Harris, the major cognitive ability upgrade from Biden installed by party elites protecting democracy:

Even before these intellectuals weighed in, Republican Liz Cheney told NBC viewers that a Trump election “may mean the last election that you ever get to vote in.”

Separately, officials in Palm Beach County failed to get the “no more elections” memo. There is some crazy stuff on the ballot and I’m sorry to say that the Republican party is officially supporting all of it. They want to narrow the tax base by exempting $250,000 of house value from general property taxes (Amendment 3). The people who pay no tax will still be able to vote, e.g., to increase county spending to be paid for by taxing other people. It’s the same system that has resulted in epic federal budget deficits. The Republicans also want to narrow the tax base by exempting farm equipment from a tax that currently applies to every business (Amendment 2). Finally, they want to let the state keep a huge rainy-day fund (Amendment 1; opposed by Ron DeSantis, who pointed out “We already have a maxed-out rainy-day fund and have run the largest surpluses in state history”).

It won’t be the end of Florida if these amendments pass, but even if they were good ideas getting people accustomed to the idea of amending the state constitution seems risky. What if Democrats return to power here in Florida and win the necessary 60% of the votes by telling people that they’ll get all government services without paying because the top 10% of Floridians will be hit with a massive income tax (currently barred by the constitution) and a massive wealth tax (also barred beyond 0.2%; Florida actually did tax “intangible property” at very small percentages from 1931-2006)? Who could be opposed to the idea of living off Ken Griffin? Could he live comfortably on $30 billion? If so, why not a one-time wealth tax of 50%, inspired by California’s one-time 5% tax?

Loosely related, some advice on voting from the dictator who supposedly was guaranteed to suspend elections:

  1. Not just that he didn’t cancel elections and establish a dictatorship, but he also holds pretty standard establishment views on many things. Nothing really beyond the pale. He is fundamentally committed to immigration (has just cut down a little on illegal immigration), massive federal spending and a huge federal government (when he went to fight with universities, it wasn’t to get DC out of education but to renegotiate the terms of receiving money), gender and racial equality (high-ranking members of his staff are women/minorities), etc.

If he had a draft coup proclamation in his WhatsApp like Bolsonaro, maybe that would have been a different story

  2. Calif* hasn’t had an election in 30 years. Lions still fill out a piece of paper with 1.5 parties, but most positions only have 1 party candidate & no-one ever votes for the other party.

  3. Phil, you ask: “What if Democrats return to power here in Florida and win the necessary 60% of the votes,” which made me chuckle! You must be kidding. Your time in Florida is short, my friend. It may be time for you to pull the rip cord and embrace the Wonders of your New Homeland in Portugal, where Peaceful Islamic Terrorists roam free amidst Virtuous Socialism because we are coming for you in Florida.

A little bit of history to remind you of what has happened in California, Colorado and Texas since the 1985, when the Amnesty for illegals permanently changed the composition of California and set in motion what then happened in Colorado and what is happening in Texas as we speak. Florida is next on the game-plan for us. Make no mistake. And when Texas and Florida flip, it is game over for folks like you.

1985 vs. 2024 presidential election results (% republican):
    California: 57.5% vs. 38.3%
    Colorado: 63.4% vs. 43.1%
    Texas: 63.6% vs. 56.1%.

    Florida: 65.3% vs. 56.1%

    Allahu Akbar!

    • Barack Hussein: as Abdulrahman Mohamed, everyone’s favorite Michigander, likes to say بارك الله في النساء العابرات جنسياً الشجاعات في غرفة تبديل ملابس بنات العشر سنوات. (Baraka Allahu fil-nisa’ al-‘abirat jinsiyyan ash-shuja’at fi ghurfat tabdeel malabis banat al-‘ashr sanawat or “May Allah bless the brave trans women in the 10-year-old girls’ locker room” when translated into the Devil’s language).

I think that I might be personally okay in the event of a Democrat takeover here in Florida. I’m too old to be forcibly transitioned. Democrats are the party of the rich and I’m richer than average. Whatever is sold as helping those with below-median incomes will actually end up working to enrich the rich, as with low-skill immigration: https://www.politico.com/magazine/story/2016/09/trump-clinton-immigration-economy-unemployment-jobs-214216/

    • Phil, your excessive wealth is exactly the point, my friend! We intend to harvest your wealth (and that of other “takers”) and distribute it to the more deserving and hard-working “makers.”

Have you not been watching the progress we are making with this in California? The exodus from there to places like Florida and Texas just makes those quitters sitting ducks for expropriation when we take control in those states too! And, when that happens it won’t just be at the state level because when Texas and Florida flip we will be able reopen the border for more of the low-skill invaders (those you reference as “below median” earners) you so love, pass a national wealth expropriation tax, and a whole lot of other super-duper stuff. Under this regime, folks like you will cease to exist. So sorry.

Please enjoy your “below-median” neighbors while you can! They will soon be voting to take away your wealth.

      Allahu Akbar!

    • Allahu Akbar, Barack Hussein! But note that even in progressive California they never voted a state estate tax on themselves. The progressives talk about redistribution, but even with one-party rule they do nothing about stopping the “generational wealth” that they officially deplore.
