  1. My heating guy said not to use expensive high MERV filters, but rather cheap Fiberglas filters replaced more often. He said the better filters have worse airflow, causing your fan to work harder and break sooner?

    • This is specifically for a dehumidier and the airflow is quite slow, I think. Maybe 150 cfm? Anyway, the devices ship from the Santa Fe factory with MERV 13 filters.

  2. Modern future shock is sticker shock. They pay us in pre-pandemic dollars and bill us in post-pandemic dystopia bucks. Even regular furnace filters are insanely expensive (not to mention sloppily manufactured). (About the only inexpensive thing these days is Michigan weed.) Who are the recipients of this currency mismatch, and how do I sign up?
