Jason Arday had the distinction of being the youngest Black professor in the University of Cambridge’s history. … Black academics know that we will always be held to a different standard … Prof. Claudine Gay was hounded by accusations of plagiarism and ousted by Harvard, who bent to those who simply could not stomach a world where a Black woman was president of such a storied institution.
As pointed out in Plagiarist Claudine Gay getting paid $3.1 million/year after “resigning” from Harvard, anyone with access to ChatGPT and/or Google could determine within less than one minute that Claudine Gay was still on the Harvard payroll (not “ousted”) and with a little more diligence, determine that she was being paid a higher-than-average wage.
If the NEJM didn’t fact-check this article what else aren’t they fact-checking?

You raise a great point on “facts” and fact-checking, both very important to Great Scholars like myself, the Singular Greatest World Scholar of Black Studies Plagiarism. You may have heard the expression that super-intelligent people “make their own luck” and I’ve found during my Voluminous Research over Decades that I can in fact make my own facts (no funny pun intended!). And Jason A. K Arday, also being a super-intelligent Scholar cut from the same cloth as me (colloquially speaking), realized this Truism too! I trust that detail will help you understand the NEJM piece a little better? And, what a bargain I am for Harvard, no?

Oh, Phil! I’m overjoyed that you know of the Great Eric Joseph Rubin (with all the Honorifics that you mention and more) and have studied his Superlative Contributions to Science. One of my most memorable instances of Eric’s many contributions to Science was when he commented during the 2021 FDA Advisory committee on pediatric COVD vaccines that: they were “pretty safe” and that “we’re never going to learn how safe this vaccine is unless we start giving it.” Is that True Science, or what? Bravo, Eric!
Harvard really does produce the best and brightest…I need to pinch myself daily to remind myself that I’m actually an Esteemed Harvard President, Professor and Senior Scholar with a salary of $1.5m that befits someone of my Stature and Reputation!
President Day: “pretty safe” is good enough for anyone and, of course, when a disease is killing Americans at a median age of 80-82, the only Scientifically reasonable thing to do is inject every 6-month-old baby with a “pretty safe” fluid.
Phil, I know you are among the many who understand the Brilliance I bring to Harvard and the World (and, sadly, until recently, the same for Jason A. K. Arday), but for those of your Wonderful readers who need a quick refresher, the attached post does a great job of explaining it in simple terms, not all of which I understand completely. They reference the Congo in the conversation, but I think that my Haitian background probably is at least as good…after all, it’s not just any country that produces so many Scholars of my Greatness, right?

I know it’s too much to actually read the article, but if you had, you would have discovered that “Each column on NEJM Voices reflects the views of its author and is not peer-reviewed; these views do not necessarily represent the views of the New England Journal of Medicine or its editors.”. I’ll agree that it’s a stupid opinion piece, but I’m not sure what your re-posting says of your supposed intelligence.
Why would “peer review” be required for fact-checking? That’s just basic editorial oversight.
NEJM is supposed to be about “real-world practice”, “everyday clinical life”, and “lived experience” (see below). The cited piece doesn’t seem to qualify under these rubrics. The author doesn’t say that she treated Jason Arday for any of his many disclosed ailments, such as brain cancer or locked-in syndrome. She writes “They are trying to kill us”, but doesn’t describe an incident in which anyone tried to kill her or succeeded in killing her. In fact, she doesn’t describe anything that she was personally involved in at all. She talks about “they” (one they or many theys?) being her enemies (because she identifies as “Black”), but doesn’t describe any incident in which she was attacked by an enemy, either verbally or physically.
The article is entirely about stuff that happened to other people with no evidence that she observed said stuff or even that she ever met any of those other people. This is thus a great example of an article that would need to be fact-checked or at least labeled “fiction”.
(The author herself does say “I don’t care whether or not any of these allegations against Prof. Arday were true”. Maybe that’s also the attitude of the editorial staff at NEJM! “It would have been the author’s lived experience, had she actually lived any of the experiences she writes about, and therefore there is no reason to care whether any of it is true because it is… her truth.”)

The first sentence in Kemi Doll, MD’s NEJM piece: “They are trying to kill us.” Kemi also states that she “focuses” on understanding “racial disparities…in health outcomes.”
Here’s a couple health outcome facts that she might “focus” on going forward:
The 6th leading cause of death among blacks in the U.S. is homicide and 85% of these people are murdered by other blacks. Blacks murder people at 8x the rate of whites.
Can someone let poor Kemi know that it looks like the “they” she references is…blacks. Perhaps this will be difficult for her to understand as she appears to have been Schooled by two of the Great Ones (Claudine Gay and Jason Arday, two experts in Plagiarism and Lying).

It’s not that the Vitals web site lacks other pronouns. https://www.vitals.com/doctors/allan-sawyer-jr-v1kyyq for example is someone in the same area. The pronoun “he” is used and there are 620 patient reviews.
(Let’s not even start on trying to figure out how many people want to kill Black nonbinary academics and physicians!)
Phil, maybe you are woefully ignorant (as she sighs suggests) or just don’t follow the news, but either way here are some Facts that substantiate that it’s White Supremacists who are “trying to kill us” blacks. When I wrote my piece in the NEJM, I did a lot of Intensive Research (in the same way I learned from the Great Ones-Claudine Gay and Jason Arday) and the attached video was central to informing my understanding of who is killing us. We are fortunate to live in an HOA community because otherwise I’m pretty sure that roughly half the households (you know who I’m talking about) would hang Nazi flags from their balconies.

Head of the Faculty of Education at Cambridge Dr. Hilary Cremin has proven that empirical truth favors a modern, urban, liberal, western view of the world. We need to reject empirical truth completely. Instead we should foreground the epistemology of the south which challenges the dominance of the Eurocentric thought of the global north.
